New Liberty Football Coach

Liberty finally hired a new football coach. His name is Joel Wells and is from Nixa Missouri. He has an offensive mentality and most of the coaches from last year are staying. Along with Coach Hanson resigning, Coach Davies is also not coaching next year. Wells has high expectations and is expected to have a winning season.

Sox

After the Red Sox win today they are 13-7 and first in the AL East. They have won 7 of their last 8 games. They have the best record in the American League and now playing consistently well. All the players are doing their part and the pitching is doing exceptionally well with Matsuzaka leading the team in ERA, strikeouts, and wins. Papelbon and Okajima are doing their job of closing games with a combined 7 saves. You should see the Sox have a great season if they keep playing consistently.

Celtics

The Boston Celtics first playoff game is tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics beat them all three times they played them in the regular season. This is the first time the Celtics have been in the playoffs in nine years, and they are the top dog in the east. Paul Pierce is leading the team in points per game with Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen not far behind. This trio is what will take the Celtics championship.

Two weeks in the Red Sox have started the season out tied for second in the AL East with the New York Yankees. The Baltimore Orioles have taken first with a record of 6-3. Kevin Youkilis is leading Boston in runs and with his batting average. Daisuke Matsuzaka is leading the team with 22 strike outs and an ERA of 1.47. After almost sweeping the Detroit Tigers they will take on their rival, the New York Yankees in Boston. Yankees are going to get swept.

Final Four

All four number 1 ranked teams made the final four.  This is the first time in history.  The four teams are Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA, and Memphis.  My prediction is that UCLA and North Carolina will face off in the championship and North Carolina will take it all.  Tyler Hansbrough has led North Carolina throughout the season in points and rebounds.  His leadership and hustle has paid off and now they have a very good chance of being the best team in the NCAA.
